John is the executive director of Alpha Ministries, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, from the Independent Baptist College in Dallas, Texas.
John has been pastoring churches for over forty years, and has authored the Alpha Series, The Relational Series, Power to Love and the Omega Series. He has been actively involved in Christian recovery since 1988 as a teacher, counselor, and consultant for a number of faith based recovery programs in Florida and around the nation.
His personal ministry goal is focused upon the training mission mandated by the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 2:1,2; "Thou therefore my son be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things which thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also." John, his wife of forty plus years, Sandi, live on Freedom Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida.
Bill has been an educator his entire adult life. He has been a public school teacher for over 25 years. He is an ordained Minister of Christ, a Certified Recovery Support Counselor, a National Certified Parent Educator. He has taught for three halfway houses, The Children’s Service Council of PSL, Alpha Ministries and the Florida State Based Faith Coalition.
Pam is a
graduate from Barry University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW). She
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified Addictions
Professional (CAP) and a member of the first graduating class from Alpha Center
for Training as a Certified Faith Based Recovery Support Counselor.
Pam has 24 years of professional experience helping those with addiction and mental illness to find recovery.
Tom graduated Mercer University College of Pharmacy in 1981. He has practiced
community pharmacy in Okeechobee, Florida since 1983. He also is ordained as a
Minister of the Gospel by Alpha Ministries and is licensed by the Florida
Certification Board as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist.
Well versed in the Journey to Freedom curriculum, Tom has over 10 years experience teaching and counseling in men’s recovery programs under the umbrella of Alpha Ministries as well as community based out-reach settings. Tom’s experience in both the pharmacy profession and the recovery community offers a unique perspective in teaching medical professionals, recovery professionals, ministers of the Gospel, and lay-persons alike.
An avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoys the rural lifestyle that the Okeechobee area offers. He and his wife, Verna, live on a small ranch and raise American Quarter Horses. The couple compete in Western equine events around the country where Tom is also leads “Cowboy Church” services for event participants. They have two adult children.
